Back home

Fun trip back east from Pittsburgh, filled with fun, misadventure and rescue. (Thanks to Mike). I took the long way home.

After a while the Turnpike gets boring soI dropped off the Turnpike at Irwin and took 30 East, the Lincoln Highway.

I got to spend some time in Greensburg for the first time in my life. Unfortunately, my main goal in the town, the Red Star Agave Grille, was closed on Mondays. I had to find lunch elsewhere, which for some perverse reason, I turned that elsewhere into the food court and the big mall on the east side of town. Oh, Yummy.

After lunch came my second disappointment of the day.

I'll give out this warning right now: If you're thinking, "Let's head down the Lincoln Highway to the small town of Laughlintown, right at the foot of the Laurel Mountains, and while we're there let's stop into the showroom of the great little bike shop that goes by the name of Speedgoat. We'll check out the latest in mountain bike teck and we'll ask about the local trails." If that's really what your thinking I'm telling you now - Don't Bother. The showroom is closed for renovation. So for now you'll have to be content with their website.

That's enough for now. I have further adventures later, but for now, it's still light out and I want to get a round of disc golf in before dark.

Back to Lancaster

All my favorite cows live in Lancaster. What that means I'm not saying.
I've just spent five days with good friends in Pittsburgh. Days spent filled with good food, music, and conversation.

Now it's back to my regular life in Lancaster.

On the way home I hope to stop off and ride the Lower Trail, (Lower is pronounce like flower).
A pleasant little Rail-Trail snuggled into the heart of PA. I'm sure it will be fun.

More photos

Just two of the people who contribute to this blog. Much more coming later.

Flood City

The PA Flood City that is: Johnstown.

Three of us went up there for the day to watch some music at their music festival. It is now a music festival, not like the preceding years when it was a folk festival. All kinds of music now.

We saw Brad Yoder, Kane Welch Kaplin, Scrapomatic, Bill Deasy, and finished off the night listening to Donna the Buffalo.

Lot's of fun was had by all.

Calm in my room

The dinner party is winding down and the blogging around the dinner table has slowed down. I am now in my room trying to post from a different computer. This is all new fun stuff.

More fun at the dinner party

Here is one of the hadsome men who spend their evening at our wonderful dinner party.

Some wine and butter sitting on the breakfast bar.
